Her new comic Spent is about a cartoonist spiraling in a goat sanctuary and trying to write a memoir that might save humanity. It’s sharp and self-lacerating, obviously. If Fun Home broke your heart and Are You My Mother? kept you up thinking about all your own complicated feelings about everything, you’ll want to be in the room for this.

Born in Atlanta and raised in Texas, Leon Bridges broke out with Coming Home and has been making slow-dance-in-the-kitchen music ever since. His songs are tender and sexy, and I’m always in the mood for this one. He’s playing two nights at Remlinger Farms, a fun and spacious outdoor venue. No one should ever miss the chance to see him.

There’s nothing complicated here, just very good food, live music, and a crowd happy to pretend it’s in Greece, drawn by the smell of grilled meat. The baklava sundaes taste exactly how you want them to.

It’s the last show of the season. The program features Twyla Tharp’s Nine Sinatra Songs, a celebrated piece set to Frank Sinatra’s music, known for its blend of ballroom and ballet styles. Accompanying this are two contemporary works: Rena Butler’s Cracks and Kiyon Ross’s …throes of increasing wonder, both exploring abstract emotional themes.
